Simple Baked Tofu Recipe

This Easy Baked Tofu is one of the easiest and best tofu dishes you’ll ever make! It’s perfect for meal prep, has a great texture and flavour, and comes out beautifully crispy in just 20 minutes.

Tofu is one of the best vegan proteins out there, and this Baked Tofu is the easiest way to make crispy tofu with minimal work!

Ingredients

• 1 lb block of extra firm tofu, pressed for 30 minutes then cut into 1” cubes, (16 oz.)

• ½ tablespoon light soy sauce, or liquid aminos

• 1 tablespoon olive oil or any oil

• 2 teaspoons cornstarch

• 3 ½ teaspoon Spice It Up Nice It Up

• ½ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions 

• Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat and set it aside.

• In a medium size bowl place the pressed and cubed tofu. Add in olive oil and toss to coat. Add in all of the other seasoning ingredients (the cornstarch, Spice It Up Nice It Up, and sea salt) and toss to thoroughly combine.

• Place tofu on lined baking sheet, ensuring to give each piece space so that it doesn’t touch. Cook for 20 minutes, shaking and flipping the tofu at 10 minutes, then continuing to cook.

• Remove after tofu is cooked. Allow to cool for a few minutes then serve. Enjoy!

On May 1 2016 I was privileged to speak to the graduating class of 2016 at Herbert Hills Academy. They come from all over the world to receive a spiritual and practical education designed to prepare them to meet their God. I spoke with them about how we truly need Christ in our lives and Christ in our hearts to overcome temptation. I connected it with an object lesson found in nature. Object lessons are great for securing the attention and impressing the heart. In these lessons direct from nature, there is a simplicity and purity that makes them of highest value. 2015 M.E.E.T. Ministry Annual Camp Meeting

I had a wonderful time helping in the media aspect and being able to give a morning Manna presentation for the 2015 M.E.E.T. Ministry annual camp meeting. The theme was dealing with The Last Mile. We are indeed living the last days and we must press forward by faith into the Cannon land like the children of old.

The Platform of Truth

"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. an again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain." - 1 Corinthians 3:19-20

The Word of God is to be our guide. About the truths that this Word contains there is no guesswork. Let us not leave this unerring guide in order to seek for something new and strange. There are many such doctrines that have not for their foundation, :it is written." They are but human suppositions. It was with the word "It is written" that Christ met every temptation of Satan in the wilderness, and armed with this weapon, He could say to the enemy, "Thus far shalt thou come, and no farther."

As we see indications of the active, earnest efforts of the enemy, shall we not make  determined efforts to search the scriptures? Let us anchor ourselves to the words of the Lord God of Israel.

We Need a True Knowledge of God!

We need to understand the character of God. This is the knowledge of God. If we don’t have a correct knowledge of God, we will be lost. For this is life eternal. A knowledge of God is associated with eternal life. The devil has distorted our knowledge of God. You can never live right unless you have the right knowledge of God. You’ll find out that your habit of dress is based on your knowledge of God. Your habit of eating is based on your knowledge of God. Your habit of thinking, living, working, and education is based on your knowledge of God. And if we have a wrong knowledge of Gods history then we have the wrong knowledge of life. So the history of redemption is to give us a correct knowledge of God. To reveal His character. And what is His character? God is love. Now because of that, there are all these false messages of love coming in. All these false interpretations of love but the Bible says, “let us not love in word but in deed and in truth.” In other words, there’s a lot of talking about love but no experience of love. A man could say he loves you but not really mean it. We don’t know what true love is. The devil has created a false image of love.

John 17:3 - "This is life eternal," said Jesus, "that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent."

In order for us to be ready in the time of storm we need to understand the character of God. This is the knowledge of God. If we don’t have a correct knowledge of God, we will be lost. Jesus will never be your shelter until you receive, believe, and obey His Word.

What Is the True Light?

This morning I read...

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.”

— Matthew 5: 14-16

Our profession of faith may proclaim the theory of religion, but it is our practical piety that holds forth the word of truth. The consistent life, the holy conversation, the unswerving integrity, the active, benevolent spirit, the godly example-these are the mediums through which light is conveyed to the world.”

Light is beautiful and mysterious like God. It is one but can be separated into many colors. No one knows if light is made up of particles or waves. In addition light has many functions that makes it a good symbol for Jesus. Light helps us see things. Jesus gives us the truth about God and about life, our origin, and our destiny. Light guides us as we travel. Jesus guides us safely through life to our heavenly home. Light promotes growth and life. Jesus brings us everlasting life. Light warms and comforts. Jesus welcomes us and calms us. Light prevents crime. Jesus is goodness itself. Light dispels darkness, which stands for evil. Jesus pierces the darkness of sin and death and conquers them. All the darkness in the world cannot put out one candle flame. Jesus cannot be overcome by evil.

We pray for enlightenment to Christ and his Spirit, who came to us in the form of fire on Pentecost. Following their lights, we look forward to eternal light in God's kingdom where for all God's holy ones, “Night will be no more, nor will they need light from lamp or sun, for the Lord God shall give them light” (Revelation 22:5).
